The Road Not Taken*
Robert Frost
Two roads diverged* in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both*
And be one traveler, long I stood*
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth*;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim*,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear*;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same*,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.*
Oh, I kept the first for another day!*
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.*
I shall be telling this with a sigh*
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood,
And I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.*
* 本诗是美国诗人Robert Frost的名作,表面平白易懂,其
实寓意丰富。读者可根据自己的理解,对寓意进行诠释。
* 分叉。
*两条路不能同时走,就如中文中的“鱼与熊掌不可得兼”。
*在面对选择的时候,诗人犹豫不决。
*小草小树。
*前途比较平坦。
*绿草如茵,犹如地毯,期待着人们的光临。
*两条路都同往相同的方向。
*在清晨,两条路都没有人走过,草色如新。
*我有一天是第一个走这条路的人。
*一条路接着另一条路,人生本就不能重来一遍的。
*充满感慨。
*这对我的一生产生巨大的影响。
